One way I'm using to gain general history info is to go to www.Wikipedea and type in ships name then compare the dates you know with the history printed out.

Thanks for that. His name is COVE Leslie Robert. JX154138. He was on board HMS Glasgow14 September 1942 - 16 September 1943 Acting Petty Officer. :)

Dad says the ship could be a german cruiser, he can't quite remember where he got that photo from. There was a ships photographer who sold photos to the sailors. But the ice on the guns - he took...

HMS Glasgow 1936-1958

can anyone identify these sailors. My Dad thinks the picture was taken on the Glasgow in the Mediterean just prior to war. The third photo I think is the HMS Malaya and the port is Dunoon...
