The Hart was never in Seattle during Dad's service. Built at Hunter's Point, fitted out at Mare Island, shakedown between SF and San Diego, and then off to the Philippines and China.

Yes, that is what is caled a "Gob Hat."

Does anyone have a clue as to whether this is Mare Island or Olongapo? Or is it not a drydock wall at all?
