May 6th 1952 64 years ago today at the age of fifteen and a half I joined the Navy as a Boy/seaman 2nd class not knowing what I was letting myself in for. It wasn't that bad, could have been worse.

I don't know, he trained at Marconi. I still have the cap badge which has the traditional officers gold crown and laurels surrounding an anchor with the words R-N-Transport.

Does anyone have a photograph of HMS Osprey prior to it being converted into a helicopter base? I have tried all over the place trying to find one without any success.
