View Full Version : Ton Class Minesweepers
Does anyone have drawings or photos of a sweep winch for an Australian Ton Class? Also, did they carry a clinker dinghy or a gemini/zodiac in about l965-70?

Send me an email and I'll send you the drawings of the sweep winch. The ships originally had 16' motor boats when they first transferred to the RAN

Rik, I am building a 1:38 scale Ton based on POLLINGTON, any help with drawings would be appreciated. I have a set of rather obscure and not very detailed plans which I got with the hull.

I would appreciate anyone who could help me obtain a set of scale drawings for a Ton Class sweeper to enable me to build from scratch during my retirements days. The originals would have been produced on linen paper but if anyone has a copy they are will to share with me I would be over the moon...Excuse me thats the sun over the yard arm must rum..errr run!!

I have a set of 4 plans for HMS Iveston (Minehunter) drawn by David Abbott of Model Boats Plans Service. They are still in copyright and too large to scan. They were obtained from Argus Specialist Publications, Argus House, Boundary Way, Hemel Hempstead HP2 7ST., way back in 1992!.
Maybe worth getting in contact, if there still going that is.
I believe I originally found details of them in Model Boat magazine.
Scale 1/48
Hope this may be of help.
Jack.
