I would appreciate some assistance in identifying the shipyards which built both Catinat and Protet for the WNSF Directory of ships.
Also, I would appreciate any experts looking in and pointing out any errors which may be evident, or additional information which can be added
http://www.worldnavalships.com/directory/shipsearch.php then choose Country = France, then press the "Search" button to list the French ships.

Conway's All the World's Fighting Ships, 1860 - 1905, p. 312, lists F C de la Mediterranee for Catinat and Soc de la Gironde for Protet. The former laid down Feb 1894 and the latter in Mar 1896. Both stricken in 1910 along with Pascal, while the fourth sister, Descartes, was stricken in 1906 but put back in service in 1907 for the Moroccon crises and reamined in service until about 1912 (Jane's Fighting Ship's, 1912 ed., p. 306.) the 1906 Jane's, p. 121 lists Catinat as built at Granville, Protet at Bordeaux, with differing dates for laying down-- Nov '94 for the former, Sept '95 for the latter
