for you BB lovers and RN Warspite lovers, its coming, not sure when, but it will be a WWIIera variant, great news of the RNs greatest fighting ship, imho,
and I know this will please alot of you chaps in the uK.

Funny thing though I must mention. Why are there so FEW good pictures of WARSPITE in the post modernisation and WWII rig. I am trying to collect some great reference pictures but I only have about 15 or 20 so far. Especially closeups and wartime.
Can we start a fresh thread on WARSPITE pics as I have been searching through these great pages for subject material.
Amazing there are tons of pics of REPULSE and RENOWN, and are there any posted deck layout drawings PLEASE anyone, large files??? Ray in Canada

Great to see more ships of renown coming out in 1/350, particularly RN vessels. But I want to know where the heck is MY 1/350 Tiger? (WWI, early fit). One of the finest looking ships of her type ever built, and nary a model of note. 1/700 is nice and all that, if you like spending your day hovering over a magnifying glass!

I agree; how I would love to see a 1/350 HMS Tiger; perhaps as at Jutland. A splendid cat indeed!:)

Hopefully ,we will see an increase in interest in WW1 warships,IF the planned movie of the Battle of Jutland appears. I for one would like to see more kits from that era.

Cheers ,Phil

After Warspite in 1/350, a Nelson or Rodney would make a formidable fleet.
Perhaps hoping for a WW2 RN flattop is wishful thinking.
The model making companies will eventually run out of US and Japanese
carriers to make, then we might get a look in.

Here is one shot of her in the "Far Eastern Fleet", hope it helps some. Plus fairly well known photo of her with oiler alongside.

Checked my copy of BRITISH BATTLESHIPS of WW2 by Raven and Roberts....gets some coverage, but not great in her modernized form. DFO ;)

That first picture of Warspite looks menacing, guns trained ready to fire.
Who would want to be on the bisuness end of that salvo.

Given that the RN's 15" 42s were generally considered the finest big gun they ever put afloat; definately would not care to be on recieving end of a salvo!! DFO :D

A view of her off Normandy with only 6-15" left operational due to battle damage. If memory serves she also had engine/boiler damage so her speed was much lower....never the less she served admirably to support Allied troops! :D
