I built this model almost 2 years ago, using Ian Buxtons "Big Gun Monitors" (the Monitor Bible) as well as this forum to gather reference and other helpful and interesting material about that unusual ship.
The card model is published by the polish publisher JSC (http://store.jsc.pl/?d=produkt&id=162) and is scaled 1:400, making it about 29cm (~11in) in length.
It is still my favorite built, since i like the camouflage scheme and the rather odd (nevertheless practical) design.
This model in the "regular german scale" of 1:250, with a good detail like the Papershipwright Monitors of D.Hathaway, would be a really wonderful thing ...
I used a supplemantary barrel kit for the 15in Main and 4in AA guns, since the card barrels for the main battery being far out of scale.
Unfortunately, i did not have any suitable LC railings at the time of the build.
Nevertheless, enjoy ...
