View Full Version : HMS Dido 1896-1926
Im looking for information on HMS Dido. My grandfather served on her at the time of his marriage in 1915, but the photos on the net all seem to be a later 'Dido'.

I had a Great Uncle named Ernest Frank Neale who served on HMS Dido from 2 Nov 1913 to 10 October 1917. He was a Stoker 1 class, I wonder if they knew each other? If you managed to find any further information, could you possibly let me know. Many thanks

Thanks AIZictorini and other contributors. This period of Dido's history is of relevance to my grandfather's service:
Dido (Louis) list 12 18/2, no.60. Leading Seaman. 3 October 1914-21 February 1915. I'd come across that excellent website on battle cruisers. A lot of information as well as photos of the ships and crews.
