Hi all,
Just thought you would like to see a few pics of my latest model.I had previously built the Ironshipwright resin kit of the Norfolk, and to tell you the truth ,I made a Pigs-ear of it.I dismantled it ,and decided to scratch-build the Berwick,as she was quite a bit different to the Norfolk.I did use the funnels ,and 8" turrets from the Norfolk, along with a few other small items.
This model has been my first "commission",hopefully the ex-crew member will be pleased with the way the model has turned out,I know I am!!

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil, you made a great job of that one, Im sure the ex crew member will be delighted.
What a difference etched brass fittings makes for modelers these days, Oh how I've cursed trying to make gaurdrails on jigs.

Excellent work Phil.;)

Lovely detailing and superb camouflage pattern. The sea and wake are extremely realistic and you appear to have mastered that art.

I'm sure that the recipient will be delighted with the commission.:)

Phil,
Another incredible model! What did you use for your references/plans? I was working on converting a 1/600 Suffolk, but couldn't find decent drawings of the bridge and searchlight platform.

Thanks fellas.
Tim , I didn`t have any plans of the Berwick,I used a Profile Morskie book on the Kent, and the Man `o War book on the Counties, which has a colour profile, and plans of the Suffolk, and plenty of photos of the Berwick.I also used the WW2 Cruisers website, which is superb, heres the link:
