Hi Dave.Thank for the intro to that site.It begs belief what life must have been like on those ships. They were not particularly good sea boats in Naval Service.
Many Regards Steve.

Dave,Paul,
Great site on a part of the Royal Navy Nautical History on Weather Ships and the importance of there use in those times when they were needed. All be it a small part that is rarely seen or noted in the history books.

Dave, Paul
Bringing back memories of the Clyde when I worked at Scotts Shipyard building HMS Euralyus in 1963/65. As ex Navy I always kept my eye on the weather boats as they were called by the locals, I was very tempted to join them as I had married a local lass, it was either the weather boats or the North Sea platforms, I chose neither and relocated to a promising Midlands town, Northampton, the rest is history.
Thanks for the posting.
Ron
