Drafted to H.M.S. Ossory (Algerine Class Fleet Minesweeper)
Nickname "Goffers" as I was'nt a great drinker in those days!
Member of Algerine Association now, but unable to trace any past crew members,most have now "crossed the Bar"regretably.Does any one recall Lt.Marden RNR,who I beleive lived in Dorset.?Also,jn which Flotilla was Ossory ,before she joined Foshery Protection Fleet?

Hi, Goffers and welcome aboard. Yes I certainly remember that cold winter of 1947, thats the year I joined up at St Vincent, it was enough to freeze the b....cks off, up at that mast. lol.
