Hi, I am intrested in Obtaining a model of HMCS Crescent, which was of the same Class as Britian HMS Cavalier.PLease not this pic shows the ship after her midlife refit. I am intrested in making her into an RC Model however a basic plastive static model would be ok. Does any one know who might make such a model kit Thanks in Advance Old Naval Guard LS

I think the trouble with creating a plastic HMCS Crescent (DDE 226) or Algonquin (DDE 224) is that there is no present hull available. If one was to revert to their original RN design then, provided a basic late war RN "C" Class model (orQ, R,T,U,V, or W Class) was available, you would have an excellent start point for an as built model. you could also build either Crusader or Sioux in their Korean War configuration.

A UK company called 'Deans Marine' make a range of WW2 destroyers in 1:96. I'm pretty sure Cavalier is in there? And if not, I'd think one of the kits may be adaptable with a bit of work and know-how.
This model will be about 3 to 4ft long so may be too big?

TCC: Thanks for the information. I don't think a four foot model would go over well in the "basement" dockyard! Something in the 1:700 or 1:350 scales would be better. My plastic modelling has been mostly in 1:400 or 1:600 scales.
