Polish other Ranks Uniform

Hello I have a questions about the Polish Navy in WW2. The other ranks uniform looks a lot like the Royal Navy Square Rig. I am aware that the British supplied uniforms to the Polish Military in the UK. Prior to the war did the Polish navy wear a Seamens Cap similar to the Royal Navy or was their a differnce. The modern Polish Navy seamens cap does not look similar to the pictures Ive seen in WW2. it almost looks Russian,( hope that didnt offend any one!).My Qustions then 1) Was ther much diffence between the pre-war uniform as opposed to the uniform worn in the Uk navy in exile. Did post war domination of Poland by the Soviet union had any influnce on the Polish Naval uniform?
