Cheap Commercial Ship Kits

Whilst not up to standard of most models, thought I'd show my efforts.............

VICTORY is standard Airfix kit and ALABAMA kit, both reduced to waterline.

Apologies for poor photos, but photographer I am not!

1st picture shows completed VICTORY and ALABAMA under construction.......2nd picture similar view of ALABAMA. 3rd/4th completed ship.

Nice ones Scurs. Tell me, would the Alabama kit have enough room to be converted for Radio Control [i.e. like the Revell Flower Class Corvette "Snowberry"]. I ask because I will be looking for a new project soon. [Must remember not to let 'er indoors see this one].

Dave H...............Yes, I believe it was possible to complete ALABAMA as a "working" model..........she was 3.5 ft in length.
I say "was", as those photos are knocking on for 20 years old, I did those models back in late 80's/early 90's (couldn't do them now, eyesight not good enough), so don't know if the Revel Kit even available anymore - I suspect not.
