Hi,

Having downloaded my grandfathers naval records from the national archives I am looking for recommendations on reading material that would give be an insight into life in the Royal navy from 1909 to 1928.

My grandfather joined the Navy at aged 16 and served on a number of cruisers before being made an able seaman at 18. From 1913 to late 1915 he served on HMS Dartmouth as an able seaman. Any recommendations on reading material on this period would be greatly appreciated.

There is masses of material on WW1 (not surprisingly) but not too much on the inter-war period.
