I am also trying to find details about my Grandfather George Richard Luxton who served as a Gunner on the Glendower, Wellesley and President III ships. I cant find any records of these ships and would love to see pictures to show his Great Grand daughter.

Any guidance would be appricated.

Hi Cathy

Glendower, Wellesley and President III were all shore establishments in WWII.

Glendower, an ex Butlins holiday camp, was a training camp in Wales. Wellesley was a gunnery school. President III was established at several locations during the war and for a time served to train men as DEMS gunners.
(i.e. Gunners on defensively Equipped Merchant Ships)

Hope this helps and good luck in your research.
