WELCOME: Guidance for Using the Forum
Firstly, we would like to welcome you to our community. We hope you find our Forum both interesting and useful. Whether you have come here as an expert in naval matters to discuss the minutiae of armament on ships, or you have just found out that a relative was once in the navy and you want to find out more, we have a few notes here to guide you to getting what you want.
Perhaps we could ask you to tell us some basic facts about yourself by completing your profile in your User Control Panel. Our members come from all sorts of varying backgrounds and it helps to know to whom they are speaking.
We suggest that your next port of call be the "Introductions" section where you can give us a bit more detail about yourself. This might be about your naval background, or that of your family; about your interests in naval history; you may build model ships. We would love to know about it. Click on the link here:

This will explain in detail how you carry out such tasks as creating a user avatar and signature in your threads and posts, use of the Forum search facility, how to create threads and posts, upload pictures and documents, and many other tips and advice. Also included, is our Code of Conduct, which explains our policies towards the use of unacceptable language and other inappropriate content, advertising, legal issues, and other guidelines regarding expected forum ettiquette.

In this section you will find advice about obtaining Service Records, and how to interpret them. You can submit Records here for discussion, and you will find many knowledgeable members willing to help you with any queries or further information.
