Hi,

A friend told me recently about this site. He wanted me to correct an error in my co-authored book on the fighting in 1940-43 on the Breconshire. Yes, the Italian pilots thought it was a BB, but it was not dressed up as one. My mistake.

And to be corrected in the new edition planned for late 2010-2011. Any other suggested corrections are most welcome! Do note that the paperback edition had some corrections in it, primarily on the Spanish Civil War.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated by me and my co-author Alessandro.

The new edition will be sporting a new cover as well - likely an Italian propaganda poster.

Hi,

Alessandro Massignani and I are working on a new edition of our book. We are hoping to get some corrections from anyone who has looked at it and found something in error. Primarily of a factual nature. For example, I have the newer British DD's armed with eight, and not ten torpedoes. Easy fix. Do note that the paperback edition had some corrections in it, primarily on the Spanish Civil War.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated by me and Alessandro.

The new edition will be sporting a new cover as well - likely an Italian propaganda poster.

One point to make that won't appear in the new edition. In the Spanish Civil War, the Italian bombers sank 25 merchant ships, all in harbor. The figure on page 26 is accurate for combined German and Italian damage inflicted.

The 2nd edition of this book is due out about Christmas time. It will include an English language section. This is an over-sized well produced book filled with photographs on the battleship class. I for one await its arrival.:)
