Gary M: Superb and very impressive!

I love these works -- so realistic and sharp in detail. Takes a lot of work, I know, and also they are a great assist to model builders in locating the fine details that are hard to "see" in those model instruction books and detail kit plans.

Really great views. Now, how about an HMS Tiger battlecruiser while you're not doing anything special ...

That's amazing, I hope to get to that level of detail with my stealth warship, great job:)
Btw, might I ask what modeling program you used?

Hi guys,
These are definitely not my work, the scans were sent to me by a Russian friend and even he wasn't sure where the originals came from.
As no copyright appeared anywhere I thought it was appropriate to share them on this forum.
Unfortunately I don't have that level of talent.:):)

I wonder what software was used? Whoever created that "model" certainly put in TIME to do so; that level of detail eats time and memory like crazy! Very interesting work! Sure hope he has a fast rendering "engine"........

I wonder why the shape of bow (under waterline) appears different in the perspective renderings compared to the side elevation views?? DFO :D:D:D

The attached photograph of KVG V in dock in Rosyth in October 1940 shows her bow shape although the quality of the photograph is not too good This suggests the profile drawing is incorrect although models are seen of her with the bow configuration shown in the profile. I wonder if the bows of later ships in the class were altered?

It is POSSIBLE that was a software "glitch".....sometimes "artifacts" can appear in some views for reasons known only to the software. However, it usually means there is a surface or surfaces that are not really mathmatically correct for a variety of reasons. The rendering "engine" trys to render but sometimes...oops! DFO ;)

(Wow, Stunning and just wonderful can other types of ships be made?)

The short answer is yes, providing time and patience are invested.
3D is a good method of making realistic ship models without getting
your hands dirty or making a mess on the kitchen table. Though they
are not very good for sailing on your local pond.
