Hi my name is brenda i have joined this forum on behalf of my dad,CYRIL,GORDON,EDWARDS. nickname (cuts) ,he served on verious ships in ww2 HMS GALLANT,HMS OBEDIENT,HMS MALAYA,HMS OCEAN,we would love to hear from anyone who has served on these ships,or has any information?

Hi Brenda,
My father, Norman John Matthews served on the Obedient. I would love to hear about others who served on her. I have an old Neptune ceremony certificate given to my father when the Obedient entered the Arctic Circle. It shows the Obedient was in latitude 66 33' N and longtitude10 30' W on Christmas Day 1942. I also have photos of him with shipmates, but don't know the names of any of them.
