Already seen, but don't remember where. Lovely (and quite rare) picture, anyway:) Like the one featuring a Yak (44?) airplane on flight deck.

Uh, and look at the island! Is that an empty space for the mysterious Sky Watch (Scanfarski or Aegiski?:cool:) radar? So maybe all those rumors about Mars passat failure and replacement are not so true... Edit: later photos show a modified island, with some kind of "Lego pirates" - style balcony:)

Try MILITARY PHOTOS and go to the RUSSIAN section, there is a fair bit, but you will find some very interesting photos.

The YAK referred to must be the YAK 144 which was no adopted, but was a beautiful machine. An example is still visible in the Russian Aviation museum collection.:)
