Hi All,
does anyone know much about Montcalm whilst at Rabaul in September 1914?
I was wondering if there are any French researchers out there that know of any reports written while she was with the Australian ships. She arrived on around midday on the 15th as HMAS Australia was leaving for Sydney. I would have a particular interest if the loss of HMA/Submarine AE1 is mentioned by the French.
This photo attached would most like be at Rabaul, with Montcalm in the background, and with AE2 in the foreground.I have seen this photo thrown around as AE1 and AE2, but witht he fact AE1 was lost the day before Montcalm arrived we have to be looking at AE2.
