Does anyone have any information on the Italian Destroyer OSTRO, my Dad was on this ship when it was sank on July 20th, 1940 in the Bay of Bomba?

Ostro:
Built by Ansaldo, Genoa.
Completed on 9 June 1928.

Cunningham thinks that the "Giovanni delle Bande Nere" light cruiser was a refugee can be made at Tobruk send 6 Swordfish torpedo-bomber (Squadron 824) left by the HMS Eagle over the harbor. If the cruiser is absent, the destroyers Ostro, Nembo (of the 1st Squadriglia ) and transport Sereno at anchor, are sunk. The British aircraft carry a 2nd mission over the Bay of Bomba (Tobruk) on 22, but found no targets.

Francesanna, welcome to the forum.
I hope you find plenty of info regarding Ostro, our member who would be able to help more called Miro hasn't visited us in a short while, I'm sure he'll help when he does call by.

Thank you I have a photo also, but the one you posted was a different shot. I loved looking at it. I will post mine as soon as I get a chance.
