As I know before ww1 some countries buy from AH the ships they needed. After ww1 most of AH ships were given like war reparations . So after ww1 many ships of AH NAVY served in Greece, Yugoslavian ,Romanian navyes and allothers . In Romanian Navy have served during ww1 and ww2 river monitors and highsee torpedoboats who served in Austro-Hungarian Navy . For pics see Romanian Royal Navy and if you are interested you don't have only to ask !

Does the "Danube Flotilla" remain in any form I see that some former Yugoslav Nesta class river minesweepers were used by (Austro)-Hungary as monitor ships (back to WWI) but with some last reference around 1930 indicating they were alive and well at that time. Never saw much on the river 'cept tourist boats on my various visits to Hungary but I guess they at least dredge from time to time .
