Volume IV of the series "War in the Pacific" by Brigadier General Jerome T. Hagen, USMC (Ret.) is now available. General Hagen has stated that this will probably be the last in the series. This volume focuses on the Southwest Pacific area of the war against Japan. As with his previous volumes, he has written outstanding vignettes of many little-known aspects of the war, weaving these tales into the more well-known overall history of the massive conflict. Highly readable and entertaining, all four volumes are available directly from General Hagen or from the Hawaii Pacific University Press, Honolulu, Hawaii.

The photograph was taken while I was obtaining Volume IV from the General at the Arizona Memorial Bookstore on January 16th.

Thanks for the heads up, Don. I have the first three, purchased from the General in 2007 while in Hawaii. They are great books, well reaserched and much more readable than most.

I have looked for this book in the UK; but have come up blank-so I guess it is not on sale as yet worldwide-Pity!!Found some Vol 1 & 2only

Jainso....they are available here for sure, wasn't aware they weren't making the rounds. Good news is the General said in an email to me that Volume V is in the works! I believe HPU has a website with their publication adverts in it, but I haven't gone and looked. The bookstore at the Arizona Memorial also carries them. My original post has an order form with the address and websites, prices, etc. listed.
