PLEASE URGENTLY SUPPORT THIS APPEAL
Taken from an appeal made today on the 'Squirrelshack' (ex RO(S) types); of which I am a member'
.............
Much needed help for one of our shipmates / Much needed help for the wife of one of our ex-servicemen.
Paul Allison, who sailed on the first commission, of HMS Dreadnought, has asked for this to be sent this out to all members of the HMS Dreadnought association.
I am forwarding it to some of my contacts, with a personal plea for support.
Thanking you in anticipation of your help.

Irene, my wife, suffers from Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) and has been on the drug Dasatinib for almost 3 years now - having been unable to tolerate the alternative option Imatinib.
NICE, in their wisdom, are recommending that Dasatinib is not to be provided by the NHS in England - if you live in Scotland, Wales, Europe, America and most other countries it is available.
The prognosis is excellent - a normal quality of life can go on for decades. More information is available on the petition site and at
CMLSupport.org.uk
Please help by adding your name - the petition closes on 23rd Dec.
Thanks - Merry Xmas to you all,
Paul Allison

However I think the closing date is actually the 11th Jan 2010
