Hello, folks!
I'm looking for info, and hoping ya'll can help. Helping a friend research his ancestor, I'm coming up blank. Horatio Ridout was in the US Navy during a good part of the 20th century, ending his career as a rear-admiral. The only on-line reference that I can find is that he was a junior officer on the USS Woodberry when it ran aground in the Honda point disaster.
Is there a database of naval biography that might have more info?
Thanks for the help, in advance!
