HI,
My dad was on (L.S.T. 3525 ) IN 1944 can anyone tell me if that was a Royal Navy one, or a U.S.A. one, any idear how i can find out anything at all.
also, how i can find out troopships, movement to Canada, from southampton
in 1944-45, any help would good.

L.S.t. 3525 was a Tank Landing Craft. Davie SB 29.8.45. Renamed WALCHEREN 1947, renamed Empire Guillemot (MOT) 10.56. For sale 1968

She was launched 29 August 1945 and completed 13 November 1945, so no, did not partake in D-Day. Check out:-

There was an old lst that was used to dredge coral in moreton bay. She was there until sold and sank while being towed to a job in India.
