Hopehunter, welcome to the forum,

As far as I am aware there were two Grenville's during the Second War. The first was an G class destroyer (H03) which sank after hitting a mine in the North Sea in 1940. The second (R97) was a 'U' Class destoyer which crops up in the history of the RN during the war quite often. I believe she was converted to a type 15 Frigate after the war. I have attached a couple of small pictures of her pre and post conversion.

I also have a series of crackin' pictures taken on board the Acorn class HMS HOPE in 1916/17. Two chaps mentioned by name in the collection AB Pryce and WR Servant (I guess that is his job (Wardroom Servant - even if they were referred to as stewards) not his name!) Not scanned yet so can't attach those.

Good luck in you research.
