Hixy good link; went away back eh what mate... but then as usual I went for a browse on the RAN site proper to view NT09 inclusions and once again the RAN site kicks the RN site into the shadows!!! literally thousands of pics available; 1617 pics on 'people' alone... as always I shall return to view!!!

Thank you Frank I enjoyed that film, how attitudes have changed, I think the women were smarter on parade then the men.

A tour of HMAS Farncomb was conducted to meet United States Navy (USN) Sailors assigned as crew, which included morning tea.

We have joined the number of navies with women at sea,but as far as I know the Australian Navy is the only one to have women in their Submarine Service. Is this true or am I barking up the wrong tree. Regards Steve.

A few years back I was privileged to be a guest speaker to a group of our first WRANS. It was an amazing day. They talked about their roles and I got them all to sign a card. I have it here. I got WRAN No 2 ... and it was such an honour to meet them all.

It seems, that once a Wran, always a Wran, because they were so interested in what I had to tell them as well.

Great women !!!!
