Etna, built by CCM, laid down 19/1/1883, launched 26/9/1885, completed 3/12/1887, discarded 15/5/1921.
Etna was converted to a training ship and was used as such from 1907 to September 1924.
In WW1 she was employed as flagship, later harbour-defence ship and subsequently as a depot ship at Taranto and at the same time as Headquarters for the Commander-in-Chief Italian fleet.
