Hi all...doing some research for a model shipbuilding project and scrolling through these wonderfull photo galleries I am noting there is an absence of
good piccies of the Pearl Harbor era battleships---and the rebuilt survivors like PENNSYLVANIA, NEVADA, TENNESSEE, WEST VIRGINIA, CALIFORNIA, and the NEW MEXICO class ships, plus the two sisters of the NORTH CAROLINA class.
And, no pics posted of the INDIANA, MASSACHUSETTS and ALABAMA. Would really like to see some contributions from your private collections that show the radars, deck arrangements, camoflauge schemes etc....
Thanks in advance folks......
I do not know if you are aware of this site:
http://www.navsource.org/
The section on the US battleships is very extensive, both pre-war, WW1,WW2,Korea,Vietnam,Persian Gulf.
If the other members do not have the photo's you are looking for.
Best of Luck
Regards

Gents, with kind respects I am totally aware of navsource. I visit THIS site often because I believe it to have a different readership and different contributions of pictures.... I would rather spend my time here, than there.
Navsource also will post thumbs of what look like possibly good reference scans and then when clicked, turn out to be business card 2 x 3 size poor resolutions, often disappointed there.
I believe your readership here have their own source files of better and different pics many never seen before.
So dig into those shoeboxes of photos and make some nice scans of some more USN WWII ships..... really missing a lot of titles here....
Thanks and all the best to you all..
Are these the types of photos you are looking for?

I don't any of what you are looking for.
She is a beautiful old girl, isn't she?
My camera was acting up that day and not focusing well, which is why the pics are a bit out of focus. I sent it to the shop right after that to be repaired. I guess that is an excuse to go back and visit her again.;)
