St Petersburg Navy Day Celebration

The following pic is from the tiscali news site and shows a ship 'all lit up' in St Petersburg on July 26th (2009) for the Navy Day celebrations on that day. Don't have any info on the ship itself, so will leave it to the experts to provide details!!

Hi Mik, the ship is the ZELENODORSK, a PARCHIM anti submarine corvette which is actually posted to the BALTIC fleet.

It was apparently one of a batch built in E German shipyards.

A large number of these craft have been acquired from the former E German Navy by Indonesia.
