Hello chaps `down under'. In Aussie Thread I have put in CANBERRA `looking for HMAS AUCKLAND' - but believe it to be HMNZS AUCKLAND !!
So find here photo of the ship at Perim in April 1941. Later sunk in the Med. in July after being attacked by about 80 dive bombers. She brought down about 7 or 8 planes before going down.

Sorry Dennis she was only ever HMS Auckland and never HMAS or HMNZS.

Dennis and I have had this conversation (see HMAS Canberra thread in the Australia section). Dennis was just celebrating the cricket.:)
