My grandfather William Henry watts J 5136 joined Gangese as a boy entrant 14th August 1909 aged 14 and served there until 16th May 1910.

I am looking for any information about Ganges around those dates.

Hi Terry ,I appear to have missed this post.
If you have a look on this website I think you will learn quite a bit about the old Ganges.
1909 was a bit before my time I didn't join till 1952.
