Can anyone give me any information from these photos i have of my grandad.

Hi Nay

There's not much to go on from your pics. I have copied them and tarted them up a bit and will post them with this reply.
The first pic marked Grandad 1 is taken onboard a type 15 frigate. There were 23 of these conversions and here is a site to see what happened to them. I am also attaching a pic of HMS Ursa which is one of them but not necessarily your Grandfathers.

Grandad 4 is obviously taken at christmas time in the petty officers mess. It is five to eight and I can make out one gunnery PO and one torpedo PO. the picture is slightly out of focus. I presume that is grandad back row extreme right. Grandad 2 and 3 are obviously taken not long after he became a Petty officer. I see he has one good conduct stripe so this makes him between 22 and 26 years of age. A mans time doesn't start until he is 18 years of age and good conduct stripes are awarded every four years so in pics 1 and 5 he would be between 26 and 30. In pic 5 he is obviously just about to go ashore with his oppo's. Sorry I can't make out the medal ribbons.
Let me know if you can give us a bit more to go on.

Thank you for your help so far. I will let you know of any further information i obtain. Have found out from my brother that my grandad mentioned serving on hms jamaica and the pic you have labled grandad 2 does have written on the back hong kong xmas 1945.
So will have a look down that avenue and that site you posted,
