Random 4.5 inch Turret

I found a couple of pics of a 4.5 inch MK V sitting in a scrapyard in Portsmouth. The pics are from 2003, is it still there? From what ship does this turret come from? My curiosity is piqued!:D

Krieg1981, these are exceptional examples of prototype weapons for the as yet not designed stealth vessel for the RN... your thirst for information has revealed examples of these weapon systems in storage awaiting approval ... as revealed in pic2 you be able to distinguish that there are two downward facing launch tubes thinly camouflaged by some recently planted fauna ... whereas in pic3 you will see that the camouflage has dissapeared to reveal a much more uncluttered launch system.:D:D:D;):p

Now don't be distributing this kind of info too freely because the internet has eyes whereas in years gone by walls had ears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

these are 4.5 mk 6 and are no longer there pounds is eventually going to make way for housing, believe they went to the explosions museum at gosport
