Many of us will be saddened to learn that Jenny Side Party has crossed the bar.

I was saddened to hear of Jenny's passing. The Times obituary certainly did her proud. Somewhere in my ditty box there are some photos of her 'gash jennies' and 'sew-sew' girls on HMS Triumph in 49/50. I will have to see if I can find them.

I thought some people might still like to see this: Mrs Ng Muk Kah (Jenny) BEM's passing marked in the June 2009 issue of the Naval Historical Review here, article by RAN Naval Reservist Mark Mobley.

A sad loss indeed I have seen many a sailor put that little bit of extra meat on his plate to donate.
Must admit to cursing the side-party on New Years Day being woken to the sound of chipping hammers.
