My two great uncles, Albert Ernest Bartholomew & James Alfred Bartholomew who were brothers were in the RN, Uncle Ernie went down on HMS Pincher in 1918 and his body was never found. I have had lots of information from "Beery" about him and he has been very helpful with Uncle Alfie who served on HMS Winchelsea during WW2 on the Atlantic convoys, Beery also thinks he was on HMS Renown as my Mum told me he went to Australia on the ship that King George V1 & Queen Elizabeth travelled on. Does anyone out there have any more information please? Any information gratefully recieved. Thanks a lot, Ladybird

HMS Renown also went to Australia in 1919/1920/?1921. HRH Prince of Wales made an extensive tour of Australia as part of his training for the crown.
