Hello everyone. My interest in naval history is fairly general, although I would be very interested to hear from anyone who knew my father, Colin Briggs, who served in the late 1940s/early 1950s. And from anyone who can tell me why my grandmother, who was a Wren in the First World War, is wearing a hat from HMS Attentive with her uniform?

HMS ATTENTIVE was the base at Dover from 1904 until it closed on 15.10.19
The cruiser was Flag Admiral of Dover patrol 1914.
