Dear All, the news on Chalky is not good; the doctors still need him to undergo further tests and scans in the nearest future but it looks as though he might be suffering from a chest tumour, potentially malignant, caused by exposure to asbestos, hard to beleive as he was never in the engineering branch, spent most of his time in the Andrew on deck and in the police, outside. He is is good spirits and very stoical about the situation which still needs further investigation. He asked me to pass you all his very best wishes and raise a true "Troubridge tot" to his recovery. I spoke with him this afternoon, and will keep you posted once his next round of treatment begins.

Thanks Tim.
I phoned guys today to ask after his health and my fears escalated when I heard he was in an oncology ward.
They said he was comfortable and asked if I would like to speak to him but I thought I would talk to you first to test the water.
I said to tell him that we are all thinking of him.

Paddy.

Tim, I am completely shattered by what I have just read.
Have I missed out somewhere because I hadn't got a clue that Chalky was even poorly?
Please pass on my best wishes to him and like everyone of his friends I shall be thinking about him.

Thank you,

Bob.

Tim,,
Do you have a decent picture of Chalkey in Troubridge days ?.
If you have it would be nice to put it on the post.

I can only remember seeing the one as he is now , he is I am sure in some of the Troubridge pics but I can't pinpoint one.

Cheers, Paddy.
