HI I TRYING TO TRASE ENY FAMILY ORE RELATIVE OF CHARLES EASTMENT, CHIEF ARM HOW SERVED ON H.M.S HECLA IN THE FIRST WORLD WAR 1914 TO 1918 . I have found some medels that was in my late mothers possessions i have asked my family if eny body knows a charles eastment but knows of his so i would like 2 return the medales to his family ore donate the to HMS.HECLA ASSOCIATION IF THEAR IS ONE
Can eny body help please

Welcome to the forum, Charles Eastman joined the RN in 1893 and his documents are available for GBP 3.50 here:

HMS Hecla;

HMS HECLA (ex-"British Crown")
1914 - Took part in rescue of passengers and crew of TSS California when she went aground on Tory Island
Chatham as Depot Ship 7th Submarine Flot. from 6/16.
At Buncrana September 1917 to December 1918 as Depot Ship for 2nd Destroyer Flotilla and Auxilliary Patrol.
Back to Chatham 12/18.

all i nead to find out if thear is eny living relatives so i can return his medals ore donat them to the HMS HECLA ASS IF THERE IS ONE
