Where to start .
I have a soft spot for barr and Stroud binoculars - really underated ( IMHO) - an certainly iconic in terms of design shape anad build - something which is "Navy".
Attached below are some jpegs showing the CF41 , CF42 and CF25.
Can anyone remember using these in service life either durring or post WW2 ?
When did they "disappear" from use ?
I would be grateful for anything which folks might be able to tell me about how they found the sets as a tool / instrument , draw backs problems , advantages , did you think they were up to the job or do you think they preformed badly ?
If you saw these sets in use post war - about what time / date - again any information or views would be much appreciated.
Thank you

The CF 41 , 42 and 25 - I am told the CF25 came in post WW2 and was used by the Fleet Air Arm.
Below another Barr and Stroud the GK7
A heavy water proofed binocluar for gunnery direction.

Again I would be gratel if anyone might be able to tell me anything about the set and its use , the unusual graticules which may be turned by the use of an Allen key.
Thank you in advacne.
