Help requested:
In August of 1945 my Late Father was "drafted to India with Pontoon Unit 27and arrived Chembur Camp, 1945." (from his letter) where he was then redrafted to Singapore with 485 LCM Flotilla.
Any information on any of the above would be welcome..:D
