Hi Pam, here are two pictures of the cruiser Royalist, the second one being when she was tansferred to the New Zealand navy.

Pam, I have put these two threads together so that any answers that are received will stay in the same place.

Regards, Bob.

My uncle, Horatio Penrose, served as a petty officer on HMS Royalist during WWII. Several years ago I was sent this old (damaged) photo from another gentleman who also served on the Royalist. On the back is written, "HMS Royalist at Gib 1946 coming home. Some 200 of Ship Company on (?) Deck". Can anyone tell me how to get a listing of the crew - I have no other service details on Horatio (also called Rex) and would like to find out more of his service record. Thanks to anyone who can help. (I am happy to send larger picture 1MB to anyone who wants it - easier to identify faces.)
