I'm sure I am not the only one to have heard about a particular book, spend weeks, if not longer, trying to locate a copy, being charged top price to acquire it, not to mention exorbitant postage costs, or bank charges on exchange currency for those of us who live in more remote parts of the world. Only to find that when the book arrives, it does not live up to my expectations, or barely covers the subject I am interest in.

I have so often bought a book on title only, and found they have not been what I was looking for. When I have a few of these books together, I have taken them to a secondhand bookshop in an attempt to re-coup some of my money, but you never get back what they are worth.

Would it be possible for members to write a review in this section of the forum, on any books they have recently acquired? Adding their reasons for why they like or are disappointed in the book. Maybe they could even write a review on their favorite book from their own collection, so that other members can not only ask any questions we might have, but also be pointed in the right direction when looking for a new book on a particular subject or theme.

I for one would find this very helpful, not to mention the fact that it would save me money. ;)

Thanks, I have had already seen one book review on this site that looks interesting. "Cromwells Navy".
