H.V. Morton's 'In Search of...' travel books were deeply loved in the inter-war period, as were his portraits of English rural life.

'Atlantic Meeting' was an account of Winston Churchill's voyage in HMS Prince of Wales in August 1941 to meet Franklin Roosevelt off the Newfoundland coast. It was the meeting which resulted in the Atlantic Charter.
It was published by Methuen of London and Melbourne in 1943.

As this book is now out-of-print, I thought there might by some forumers who might like to see some plates from it.
I do this for Mr Churchill, that impressive but anti-Australian shit, because he wore his naval hat at such a jaunty angle.

Nice bit of nostalgia!
