My father decessed left me with a light from the Japanese Nagato Battleship.
I am looking for pictures of this light.I beleave it came off their quarterdeck or bridge interior, any help would be much appreciated.Hanging glass globe in a cage, standard ship looking light.Apparently these taken artifacts left from the war are one of a kind items. Now that the ship sits at 33,000 ft.thank you mwnorva@yahoo.com

Don't have any photos of what you are after but if you mean the Japanese battleship named Nagato from WW11 then thought I should advise that she is actually in only 58m/190ft of water at Bikini Atoll, sunk in 1946 by the 'Baker' blast during the atomic bomb tests there. And up till the suspension of dive operations at the 'resort' there earlier this year she was dived on a weekly basis.

This of course does not detract from the rarity of the item you have, as 'souveniring' was strictly forbidden/monitored when diving there.

A Google of HIJMS Nagato will give you extensive details and photos of the wreck.

Do you have a photo of the light you have? If so could you post it here?

Regards,
Kevin
