Attached is a CGI image of a "stealthy" new roooshunn missle frigate that supposedly will be in the water by 2011. Named after that Hero of daa soviet union: Admiral Gorshkov. Looks quite impressive, if built/completed. DFO

Comrade, Stealth on ships just does not work. You rememeber that USN Stealth ship the black bat boat looking thing, we were in a night engagement with it, some Second Class OS turned the gain down on his surface search Radar and saw a hole in the surface clutter and that was the stealth ship and the end of the program. I am not saying that steps should not be taken to minimise radar reflection but your not going to be invisable to a good set of Radar with a good operator using it. I hope the Russians do become a regional power again that will keep order.
