HMS EAGLE 1957-1960 period Added
Hiya Jeremiah
Which Eagle do you mean? My Dad served on the WW2 Eagle from 1939-42 and I've got an album of his full of photos of his time onboard.

Hi Alan, my apologies for not being specific, Landlubber you know.
I referred to the HMS Eagle Carrier and we are probably talking 1957-60 period

Alan,
My Dad flew two missions off HMS Eagle to Malta in 1941: Bowery and Style. I am doing a painting to memorialize Dad (he passed in 2000) and those who delivered the planes. We are desparate to figure out what the aft deck of the Eagle looked like during launching aircraft. Pictures show it as bending down but other pictures seem to show it up like a ramp? We are confused. Was the ramp movable? If so, to what purpose? Can you please help me?
Thanks,
Fred Morsheimer
